About the Courses...
This is a very
special yoga event ...
There will be a simple daily early morning
yoga class for those that would like to wake up with a bit of movement
from 7am-8am. Breakfast will follow and then from 10:30- 12:30pm
there will be the daily morning yoga workshop.
Over the two weeks the morning sessions will be mostly
spent dedicating time to clarifying structural relationships
as well as exploring the role of breath in relationship to
posture, inviting us to be more 'whole' in our movement.

|
The afternoon
workshops will be open to exploring what has been discovered - answering
questions that come up for you, finding ways of moving and breathing
to resolve postural issues that come to light and generally exploring
the joy of being completely present to our yoga practice and to life.
Learning to move from
the central axis of the spine in harmony with the movements
of the breath will provide the foundation of an ever evolving
yoga practise dedicated to clarifying perception and improving
quality of life.
Dedicating time to deep
yoga practise without the usual distractions of everyday life
is a profound thing to do. In such beautiful surroundings the practice
can effect deep changes.

I will also be providing a good deal of information designed to
give those interested a lifetime foundation for understanding as well as
experiencing how the yoga works. So these retreats are very appropriate
for dedicated practitioners, enthusiastic beginners
or anyone that is looking for the
inspiration to become dedicated, as well of course as
those that have worked with me before.
I have also priced the thing so that there is plenty of room for
those that might want to just dip in to the yoga occasionally
but basically want to come to have a lovely restful time at a beautiful
resort in the hills above a beach on Koh Samui.
|
|
I would like to point out that
all classes are entirely optional as I am more concerned
with people getting precisely what they need at the pace that
suits them. There is plenty on offer for the enthusiasts, but
non-participating partners would be welcome to dip in and out as they
please. I feel that forcing ourselves to practise yoga is deeply
counterproductive. Whereas practising for the love of learning,
for the pleasure of occupying our bodies as well as the present
moment, and just for the way it makes us feel, places yoga in its
rightful place - a privilege, not a discipline . If
I want to impart anything, it is that . - This also makes room for various
trips and excursions if you want to explore a bit of Koh Samui.

Throughout both weeks I will also
be on hand for some one to one help at very reasonable rate
if there is something specific you would like to look at between
sessions.

...with flights direct to Bangkok from Gatwick or Heathrow.
And then an internal flight to Koh Samui whcih can be booked on
line. You could get a return to Bangkok for as little as £350
when I last looked, and I believe internal flights are around £100
return, but as with all these things, the earlier you book the better, and
with prices due to rise quite soon, with the 'eco tax' coming in it would
be wise to book earlier than later.
more information
to come on this.
.Please note:
booking flights needs to tie in with accommodation if you are travelling
straight to the Jungle Club, so availability needs to be coordinated before
you book your flights. At present there is good availablility
before the retreat starts, and some after (fully booked from 18th Feb)
